Chapel In The Pines Wedding with this beautiful couple!!! I remember when I first met this adorable family at a bridal expo over at Northern Illinois University in Dekalb… they all had glasses on except the baby (somewhat matching glasses too)! And I could just tell that they were genuine, sweet and down to earth… a family that I would really be honored to work with in documenting their very special WEDDING DAY.
And while I could tell that they were excited to be planning their wedding, I could also sense that there was a missing piece. I would later learn that her Father had recently passed away… I can only imagine how this would feel. Mothers and Fathers are such an integral part of our lives and these special celebrations, so having to go through it all without a parent present can make things bittersweet.
While there may have been this sadness present, I could also sense a great warmth enveloping these two and I knew that a special someone was looking down and watching over this family on their wedding day. The way they would look at each other was enough to make my heart melt. I could feel the history between these two and the special bond that had only gotten stronger and stronger with time and all that they had experienced together in LIFE.
And their two, adorable little girls… oh my goodness! Well, the baby was a bit fussy (if I’m totally honest) but I captured so many warm shots of Dad so patiently, calming her in his arms. And older sis was a vibrant little pixie, just sprinkling smiles and goodness everywhere she went!
This was truly a very touching wedding day and I feel totally blessed to have been present, documenting their memories as the day unfolded. Amazing couple, lovely children and supportive family and friends made for a perfect wedding day at a gorgeous venue, Chapel in the Pines in Sycamore, IL.
