Naperville Illinois Senior Portraits with this handsome young man! On the way home from photographing this High School Senior, I started to feel emotional. I get this way from time to time, because I am just so darn happy doing what I do and I feel extremely blessed! But this time was different, it was more of a sadness. Then I reflected back on this young man and his family, realizing they were the very FIRST family I photographed outside of a studio, on my own. I photographed them year after year! I created holiday cards for them. I sat in their home and selected favorite images for print. I got to return and see those images hanging on the walls. I’ve framed up many of their photos too. And this is just a very special milestone… their youngest, now graduating High School.
I think I was sad because I will miss seeing them for those yearly, family portrait sessions. But I am excited, because who knows, maybe one day I will get to photograph a wedding?! Let’s slow down, perhaps when the kids return from college for the holidays or the summer!!!
