Batavia IL Fall Senior Photos with this super sweet, beautiful soon to be GRAD! I think they were a little nervous upon showing up at my “secret” location. A regular passerby probably just sees an overgrown, abandoned wreck of a barn! But what does a photographer see? AMAZING BACKDROPS! And she totally rocked every one of them.
I always recommend seniors bring a little bag of accessories and a prop or two. I just love the hat, the scarves and the simple changes of tops that she brought along. She got some completely different looks with just a few items!
I also love that we got a variety of poses with just a few organic items to work with… a rock to sit on, the ladder in the barn, kneeling down, a blanket on the ground and a piece of wood in front of the barn. I know it can be a trendy thing, but I have to admit I worry that the fancy couch in the forest preserve look will be a bit silly and dated looking in 20 years! I’m a bigger fan of more natural looking elements in the scene of a portrait.
