Downers Grove Family Portraits with this vibrant group! I was SO THANKFUL that the weather finally cooperated for this extended family portrait session. We had to reschedule at least two times because of the rain! And this family was SO MUCH FUN to photograph!!! I just love how coordinated they all were in shades of blue and grey. We lucked out with a perfectly, overcast day! They suggested Gilbert Park in downers Grove, which I hadn’t been to, and it was so beautiful there.
With an extended family portrait session, I typically start with the whole group together. From there, we break it down and do the grandchildren, grandchildren with grandparents, each family, each group of siblings, head shots of the kids, and any other special requests the family has. I try to work efficiently, so we keep younger children’s spirits up! But the little guy of this group was getting to the end of his rope by the time we got to the grandchildren together. He was holding onto a water bottle, smiling. But we tried to take it out (quickly) and this big, adorable pout was the result. And this is the type of image that tugs on my heartstrings! It’s adorable in that very special way.
I had the opportunity to photograph this group a few years back. It was so special to see them again and document how their family continues to GROW!
Thank you for entrusting She Sees Photography to capture these memories for you! We had a lot of laughs and cute little moments during your session!
