Whitetail Ridge Wedding in Yorkville, Illinois with this BEAUTIFUL COUPLE!!! This was my first bigger event this Summer and it felt SO GOOD to be back to work and photographing this joyous celebration. It was the PERFECT day for an outdoor ceremony with blue skies and sunshine. And the venue did an excellent job of setting up chairs inside for safe, social distancing. The guest count was about 50 and you could tell this bride and groom were surrounded by their closest family and friends. And that is one of the BEAUTIES of smaller weddings… the warmth and intimacy that overflows.
And I have to admit, it was a bit bittersweet photographing these two and their wedding day. As I watched families mingling and couples on the dance floor, I thought THIS is what we’ve been missing out on during this pandemic and the stay at home orders… CELEBRATING Love and Life!!! And I am just so darn happy that there are couples out there that are willing to tackle planning a wedding in the midst of such uncertainty in the world. Focusing on the ones closest to us and celebrating our togetherness is what makes us stronger.
